An Update from Tom & Lisa
On behalf of all of us here with B4L Ministries, greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ!
As I sit here to write this newsletter I am somewhat stymied as to what to share and where to begin. So much has taken place in the last month and a half. We have officially relocated our headquarters temporarily back to El Paso, Texas and plan to stay here for the next year to make preparations to fulfill the next part of the vision for Breakthrough 4 Life Ministries.
I want to express to you that the idea of Pastor Alana stepping aside and moving to Washington and having me to be the Pastor of B4LM was not something that we all sat around brainstorming to come up with. Pastor Alana had shared that the Lord had spoken to her about re-positioning on Sep. 11, 2014, and since that time, through the Lord’s leading, situations and circumstances has brought us to where we now stand.
I know that many of you have supported Pastors Don and Alana faithfully for many years. As a first hand eyewitness I can personally testify of their faithfulness and effectiveness in the ministry of the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, but then, you probably already know of their faithfulness! Going forward from here I want to share a short overview of the vision the Lord has given me for B4L Ministries and invite you to participate with us as you are led of the Lord.
At His leading, we purpose to open a men’s facility in the Gallup New Mexico area to help rescue men who are caught in the web of primarily alcohol and substance abuse.
The need in this region is obvious and overwhelming. The abuse of just alcohol alone and all the issues and ramifications it brings is heartbreaking. We have been given the opportunity to make a difference in this region and bring the Light of the Gospel to those who are trapped in abuse. In the name of Jesus, darkness will be pushed back and lives restored to walk in His purpose! This facility in the Gallup New Mexico area will be a flagship so to speak. Our vision and purpose is to open several as He guides.
Lord willing, our next newsletter will be an expanded edition with some specifics about the what, where, why and when of what He has called us to do.
In the meantime:
Remember, you can’t be thankful and depressed at the same.
… And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful. (Colossians 3:15)
O give thanks unto the LORD, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever. Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy; And gathered them out of the lands, from the east, and from the west, from the north, and from the south. (Psalms 107:1-3)
Beloved of the Lord, each and every day is Thanksgiving day for us who have been called out of darkness into His marvelous Light, and shown His great mercy.
We do thank God for all of you who have been so faithful to stand with us and hold us up in prayer and financial support.
These are days of much organizing and prayerful consideration of next steps to take in accomplishing what the Lord has for Breakthrough.
We continue to keep in contact with our brothers and sisters in the Navajo Nation, encouraging their walk of faith while we are apart. We take every opportunity to share the vision with those we are in contact with here knowing that the Lord works through willing vessels.
Heb 13:15 Through Him, therefore, let us constantly and at all times offer up to God a sacrifice of praise, which is the fruit of lips that thankfully acknowledge and confess and glorify His name. [Lev. 7:12; Isa. 57:19; Hos. 14:2.] (AMP)
Col 1:3 We continually give thanks to God the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah), as we are praying for you, (AMP)
Col 1:4 For we have heard of your faith in Christ Jesus [the leaning of your entire human personality on Him in absolute trust and confidence in His power, wisdom, and goodness] and of the love which you [have and show] for all the saints (God’s consecrated ones),(AMP)
Col 1:12 Giving thanks to the Father, Who has qualified and made us fit to share the portion which is the inheritance of the saints (God’s holy people) in the Light. (AMP)
2Th 2:13 But we are bound to give thanks to God always for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, for that God chose you from the beginning unto salvation in sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth: (ASV)
