“According as His divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him that hath called us to glory and virtue: Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.” II Peter 1:3, 4

Praise the Lord! The ministry was blessed to be able to purchase the brush mower at a local dealer in Farmington, NM. The owner gave us a great deal and included the assembly and initial gas-up as part of the package. Thank you for your generosity.

Kids’ Night Out

Two weeks ago the Lord gave us the opportunity to hold a meeting in the home of a young mom whose mother and step-dad come here. There was a house-full, and youngest to eldest listened to God’s Word and our testimonies. We rejoice that one gave her heart to the Lord and another recommitted her life to Jesus as His Spirit moved among us. These two moms and two out  of the six children came to our next service and then joined us for our Friday Kids’ Night Out. Please pray for this family that they would have a hunger to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord. We are also offering refuge and care to a mom and her family of six until she is able to get a job and apartment through another ministry in the Gallup, NM area.

Our Kids’ Night Out continues to liven up the ministry center with praise and worship music just for children. We have especially been enjoying Hillsong videos that have us all on our feet celebrating Jesus! We have watched ”Daniel in the Lions Den”, ”The Eric Liddell Story”, and ”John Bunyan.”

Our intern, Pastor John Emerson celebrated his mom’s going home to be with the Lord this week. We were invited to be a part of what the Navajo call the “donation meeting”. It is a time when family, friends, and neighbors gather to donate money to cover the cost of the funeral. They use it as an opportunity to share how their lives were affected by the one who has passed away. It was a real honor to be there with about 130 others to support John and his family.

Two weeks ago we had delightful fellowship with a ministry team out of Houston, TX. They came to help with a housing project through Cornerstone. It is wonderful to spend time with God’s family regardless of denominational lines and they just wanted to be a blessing to us and those they came to help.
